The largest of the 800 drill series and still the most popular planter used throughout the western US states for the majority of their crops. The 870 is belt driven with land wheel drive and has the ability to plant every seed type from flowers, to sugar beet, from carrots to beans.
An adjustable height land wheel gives drive to all row units, whether planting on flat or raised beds.
Drill sizes can range from 2 row to 18 row. There are a range of rear wheel options and coulters for differing soil types.
